Introduction

The BuyX e-commerce system is an online store that has been built on the OScommerce open source ecommerce package, that have been customized through years of production use. Many contributions have been added to form this powerful e-commerce package that, together with a monthly subscription fee, is being marketed under the name BUYX. All source code used in the BUYX shop can be downloaded separately from the OScommerce website.

The BuyX engine has been put together primarily for the Music and CD Distribution industry, offering CD Stores and Records labels the ability to sell and promote their Music in various formats.

However the BuyX e-commerce store has proven it's metal in many other environments including Retail, Arts and Culture, even Online Ticket sales! Stability, Ease of use, Security and Speed are the principles the BuyX engine was built on.
